Celebration of the Sacrament of First Communion - Pictures

On April 20, 2024, the parish celebrated our second grade and Religious Education First Holy Communion. The weather was nice, a little chilly, but no rain and the sun was out. A beautiful day for this celebration. The girls in their white dresses and the boys in suits and ties and no one got dirty until they got home to really have their parties with their families and friends.

At the one o’clock Mass we had two guests, Deacon Ramon Ferrer from North Carolina and Rev. Scott Donahue from Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. Each had family members who received their First Communion. We were glad they were able to con-celebrate with Fr. Tom and me.

We want to thank our Administrator, Fr. Dennis, who helped at the 10 am Mass, and Deacon John for his presence at both. We would also like to thank everyone who made this Mass so special, from our teachers, catechists, musicians, singers, altar servers, the Art and Environment Committee, photographers, and other people behind the scenes. Most of all I want to thank the parents for allowing us to teach your children their faith in Jesus and the sacraments. To the children, GREAT JOB! We are very proud of you!! We pray you continue to receive Jesus each and every time you come to Mass.
