Homebound Meals - Festival Italiano - Pictures
November 1 and 2, 2014
It was an Italian meal that our parish homebound enjoyed on November 1 and 2. The meal consisted of pasta fagioli (bean soup), fresh garden salad, lasagna with homemade sauce, garlic bread, and a fresh-baked fruit pastry. Approximately 130 meals were prepared.
Thanks go out to all the volunteers, and especially to the young men of the parish who showed up to help make this a memorable meal. They not only cut the bread and helped pack the soup, salad and desserts, but they also were responsible for assembling the 11 trays of lasagna. Thank you gentlemen! Your help was greatly appreciated.
A special thanks to our “resident baker”, Diane Higgins, for providing the delicious baked pastries.
