A Creative Response to Literature - Mrs. Baley’s Eighth Grade Literature Classes presented Book Talks. Each student came in front of the class to talk about a book they had read. They told the class about the author, explained the characters, and told about the story. Finally, they read an interesting or amusing excerpt from the book. They stopped reading at a moment that left the audience hanging and wanting to read the book also. Props were brought in and students even dressed up as characters. Creativity was certainly shown in this project. Harry Potter even came to visit.
