Eighth Graders Honored for Quilt - Pictures
November 2011

The eighth grade students in Mrs. Baley’s class demonstrated their creativity and vision in their entry for the Archdiocese of Chicago-Office for Mission Education Poster Contest. The entry was an outstanding artwork quilt. The quilt represented the class as the hands and feet of Christ. This unique quilt was part of the Maryknoll Centennial Celebration at Holy Name Cathedral on World Mission Sunday, October 23, 2011. Members from the Office for Mission Education hand delivered a certificate recognizing the students for their missionary spirit and excellent effort. Their artwork quilt will be featured throughout the year at various times on the Holy Childhood pages of the Mission for Education and Animation website at http://missions.archchicago.org.
