St. Christina first graders have been busy this month! In Science, the students explored the properties of air by making parachutes and having balloon races. In Math, they worked with pattern blocks to create composite shapes and understand equal parts. And, during Religion time, they conducted a mock Baptism to extend their knowledge of the sacrament of Baptism. The students also are spelling and decoding all types of words in Phonics. These first graders are definitely ready for second grade!
