Life, Liberty and Freedom and Stamp Out Bullying Campaign - Pictures
October 2012
Life, Liberty and Freedom - St. Christina's second, third, and fourth graders recently celebrated the birthday of our United States Government, also known as Constitution Day. They commemorated September 17, 1787, the day when our country’s Constitution was signed in Philadelphia. The morning began with four students introducing the observance and leading the Pledge of Allegiance over the PA. Then, the social studies classes learned how the Constitution was written, made Uncle Sam hats, and discussed important elements in the document.
Stamp Out Bullying Campaign - Kindness counts and bucket filling’s cool, That’s what we expect at St. Christina School - Bucket filling has the power to improve manners and the way we trust people. Bucketfillers know that the expressions of courtesy and kindness fill buckets. Each homeroom has been provided with a bucket and slips to fill out when the students are Caught in the Act of Caring. September’s buckets have been emptied and a prize has been given to each grade level winner. We are all working together to have a bully-free environment to work and learn in. The following students in the picture are smiling because they have gone out of their way to brighten someone’s day.
