NASA Design Engineers in Eighth Grade - Pictures
November 2012
Mrs. Baley’s eighth grade science classes designed modules that would land astronauts safely on the moon. They used a raw egg to represent their astronaut. Their module was dropped from a height of three meters without the egg being broken. Their budget was very limited. They had to use common objects to build their prototype. Hard work went into their creative designs. It was a great learning experience for everyone.
