St. Christina School Implements a New Science Program - Pictures
Year 2016- 2017

Many exciting changes have been made in our science program this school year. We have adopted the FOSS Science Program, which is a Full Option Science System. Students in Grades 1-5 are engaged in a new science course in which they explore and use cognitive processing skills to discover science concepts. Students have learned to develop and apply their inquiry and questioning abilities by performing a variety of hands-on investigations. This program not only provides an integration of earth, life, and physical sciences, but also correlates Science with Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Along with each investigation, the students keep an interactive science notebook, which is a collection of their activities, labs, and reflections.
