Red Ribbon Week - Pictures
October 2011
“One School - One Goal - Bully and Drug Free”
St. Christina School participated in the nationally recognized “Red Ribbon Week” which is held every year during the last week of October. Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention campaign. The week serves as a special time when individuals can take a stand for the hopes and dreams of our children through a commitment to drug prevention and education. It also calls for a personal commitment to live drug-free lives with the ultimate goal being the creation of a drug-free America.
St. Christina students proudly wore their red ribbons unifying them in the message, “One School... One Goal... Bully and Drug Free”.
Student council members hung red ribbons throughout the school and church grounds, and the hallways were lined with posters about staying drug free. Each day of Red Ribbon Week focused on a new theme (the children were off school on Friday):
Monday
“Hats off to those who stay off drugs!” Students wore hats with their school uniforms.
Tuesday
“TEAM up against drugs!” Students wore team jerseys with jeans and khakis.
Wednesday
“SOCK it to drugs!” Students wore crazy socks with their school uniforms.
Thursday
“BLACK out drugs!” Students wore black shirts with jeans or khakis.
