A Very Special Visit - Pictures

The eighth graders in Room 19 were very happy to meet the daughter of their homebound lady, Jennie Lush. They had been writing to Mrs. Lush all year long. Sadly, Jennie passed away on Easter Sunday. Her daughter had promised her mom that she would come for a visit and meet the students who had been writing to her. Her daughter, Mrs. Jasik, enjoyed telling stories about her mom and answering the students’ questions. It was a very special visit. Sister Ann Vincent was also present. We shared lunch together, and Mrs. Jasik left the students a copy of a very special poem that she had found.

One Can Make a Difference

One conversation,
Can start a friendship
One step can start a journey
One word can say so much
One smile can brighten a day
One small act of love, can mean everything to someone
One person can make a difference,
